My children have learned so much at The Arts Place. They offer violin and choir. The museum isn't just fascinating because of the military items, but the architecture of the building itself.

We ate lunch at a cute restaurant with lovely woodwork called Dave's Flatlanders. There was a vintage car collector on the big screen and football on the other. Nice lunch in the bar area and kids were seating in the family area. Had a New Castle beer, but would've loved a Reggae Red glass of wine.

The second floor of the museum is equally as grand and interesting, but a bit more of the town's history is portrayed. Soldier stories, the buildings original use as an Odd Fellows chapter, the canal history and town founders and leaders.

The museum is located upstairs and opens up into a surprising huge room with a high ceiling and a large stage.

Local artist's work on display and for sale at the gallery which is street level. Great natural lighting.

Very interesting artifacts from the Perfect Circle company and the inventor of cruise control. Great glimpse into the evolution of modern automotive technology. Seems to be a lot of connection to the Indy 500.

The museum curator, Tom Butters, is happy to answer any questions and he indicated he is accepting volunteer applications.
